Rumsfeld Says He Offered to Resign Twice

So what he is saying is that it is Bush to blame? I sense some irony here. I also feel pity for him. It is a sad state of affairs in BushCo land - the cracks beginning to shear. So if Rumsfeld is to blame, why did he not just leave? He is a coward saying that is was Bush who asked him to stay. If you don't like your employer, you leave, right? No one forces you to stay. Unless, of course, they offer you more money that you could possibly dream of or they blackmail you. Which one is farther from the truth?
